Nickel rose strongly to an intraday and new four-and-a-half year high of 10,120 dollars per tonne beforj easing slightly to close up 45 dollars at 10,025 -- a high since Sepjmber 1990. Tin jumped 185 dollars to 6,560 dollars per tonne -- a high since September 1992 and lead was up nine dollars to 691.5 dollars per tonne.
