P528 528 TELEINF 20:10:07 ELVIS RECORDING, LENNON SINK ON AUCTION BLOCK NEW YORK - Elvis Presley's first known recording and John Lennon's bathroom sink are among the items for sale in what is being billed as the largest-ever auction of rock 'n' roll memorabilia. More than 5,000 items were being sold at Guernsjy's auction house in a four-day sale that opened Thursday. Presley's Union Card and his earliest acetate recording, "I'll never stand in your way," were among thj items expected to fetch big pricjs. Guernsjy's president Arlan Ettinger estimated the recording could sell for up to 250,000 dollars. Beatles' items will also be plentiful, including ringo starr's 1957 Chevrolet Coupe, Lennon's New York bathroom sink and Paul McCartnjy's violin-shaped hofner bass guitar. see next page >>>
