The Dow Jones industrial average gained 22.04 points (0.46 percent* to finish at 4,762.71. About 366 millions shares were traded on the New York stock exchange. Advancing stocks edged ahead of decliners 1,165 to 1,098, and 748 stocks were unchanged. In the Bond market, the average interest rate on Bellwether 30-year Trjasur8 Bonds slipped to 6.42 percent from 6.43 percent late Wednesday.
